THE FULL POWER KIT
THE FULL POWER KIT supplies all the main components inside the boat to complete a full hydraulic power steering system, except the steering pump, cooler and hoses. This kit can convert a MERC® ADD-ON KIT to full hydraulic, eliminating feedback to the wheel and backlash from steering cables. Included in the kit is a helm with integral shock and pressure relief valves, 3″ stainless mounting column with trim and sealing rings, remote reservoir tank, high pressure oil filter assembly, four special helm fittings, bolt-on cap for pump and installation instructions.

LATHAM MARINE RESERVOIR TANKS
LATHAM MARINE RESERVOIR TANKS are made with blue anodized aluminum ends and clear tubing for clear visibility of the system hydraulic oil. This aids in determining proper oil level and condition of the oil and can be used as a preventative maintenance tool. The reservoirs are matched specifically to the engine package as various engines are supplied with different pump configurations. Specify your engine package to your sales consultant to determine the right reservoir for your application.

FILTERS
FILTERS are an integral part of any fluid system, whether it is hydraulic steering oil, fuel or engine oil. LATHAM HIGH PRESSURE FILTERS are designed for placement between the output side of the steering pump and the helm where it can catch particles before they enter the helm. This same housing also serves as a high performance fuel filter by using a different element.

LATHAM STEERING COLUMNS
LATHAM STEERING COLUMNS are made with 316 stainless steel and with the heavy duty construction, they are built to last. Aluminum as well as stainless Tilt columns are also available. All the stainless columns are available in 3″ and 6″ versions. All columns include a stainless 3/4″ taper shaft which fits most steering wheel hubs.

QUICK RELEASE COLUMN this design allows the entire column to be quickly removed, leaving just a low profile adapter that is permanently attached to the dash. The kit is also supplied with a quick release decorative cover to replace the column. This can be used for boat applications with two steering stations allowing easy transfer of the steering wheel and column from one station to the next. It can also be used on single steering station applications as a security measure.
LATHAM FULL POWER HELMS
LATHAM FULL POWER HELMS are considered to be the best in the business. With smooth precise operation, drivers can turn the wheel and feel confident that they are in full control of their vessel. The built-in pressure relief guards against high pump pressure and the cross port shock reliefs protect the cylinder circuit from pressure spikes. Sterndrive and full power helms are available in various sizes ranging from 2 to 24 cubic inches per revolution. Larger helms along with ‘Load Sense’ helms are also available. Check with your sales consultant for available helms.

Power Steering Pumps and Coolers
POWER STEERING PUMPS
POWER STEERING PUMPS provide pressure for power steering systems with inboard engines. Standard pump has 1/4″ female NPT connection on bolt-on pump cap for remote reservoir. High Volume pump has blue anodized aluminum case and pulley, 3/8″ NPT input ports and produces about 100% more flow. Both pumps have metric fasteners and metric threads in high pressure output port. Banjo hose end connects Aeroquip hose to output port, and the bolt-on pump cap provides connection for remote reservoir and is available with single and dual 1/4″ NPT ports.

OIL COOLERS
OIL COOLERS are required in all steering systems with engine driven power steering pumps. Our standard coolers have 1″ NPT water and 3/8″ NPT female oil connections with a 2″ x 9″ tube bundle. Our high flow coolers have 2″ NPT water and 1/2″ NPT female oil connections with a 3″ x 6″ tube bundle. The tubes are made with cupro nickel.

Steering Wheels and Adapters
TRIM WHEELS BY LATHAM put the world of performance steering technology at your fingertips! Now you don’t have to remove your hand from the wheel to operate the power trim. Three water resistance switches operate your power trim pumps, bringing your drives up and down together, while your stock trim panel operates the drives independently. Sealed dash housing eliminates dangling cords and wires. TRIM WHEELS are now available for LATHAM full hydraulic systems and most other hydraulic and cable systems. Please specify number of drives.

COMPETITION STEERING WHEELS have a durable foam grip over stainless steel rim and spokes for zero compass deflection and corrosion resistance. This wheel has been the standard of offshore racing for years.

LATHAM TRIM WHEELS were designed for marine use with stainless steel spokes and rim. All three spokes are equidistant to make Trim Wheel switches easy to reach. Grip is made of durable black or white foam. These wheels are supplied with Latham Trim Columns specially designed to work with Latham Trim Wheels.

Autopilot Valves
LATHAM MARINE’S AUTOPILOT VALVES will keep your fine motor-craft on course with the same precision and reliability as your LATHAM primary steering system. Our hydraulic Autopilot Valves interface with most popular electronic autopilots and are exclusively designed to operate with LATHAM FULL POWER STEERING SYSTEMS. We designed these valves from the ground up with all the necessary features, so there are no bulky extra blocks to add on. Simply connect your hydraulic hoses and autopilot electrical signal lines, and you will be cruising in style!
AUTOPILOT VALVES
AUTOPILOT VALVES are available for both sterndrive and outboard full power steering systems. These valves offer smooth responsiveness, with autopilot speed adjustment. The steering rams are locked when the autopilot valve is idle. They are equipped with a protective anodized billet aluminum body and are available in 12 or 24 VDC.
